More 9ja, Nigeria’s Enlightenment and Entertainment Media Company hosted her second online Photo Contest tagged “Face of More 9ja 2019” to unveil it’s next brand ambassador and also reward undergraduates for their active social life and online presence.

The online contest which was held on our website from August 8th – September 5th 2019 featured 21 participants from different campuses in Nigeria.

A total number of 10, 399 successful votes were recorded in the contest with Contestant 16: Miss Soyoye Abisoye Temitayo from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic finishing first with 2, 354 votes at the end of the contest, closely followed by Contestant 1: Miss Mornu Chidinma Joy from Federal College of Education with 2, 148 votes.

Other Outstanding Contestants include Contestant 18: Miss Bonojo Esther Bolutiwafe from University of Lagos with 1, 605 votes and Contestant 13: Miss Amah Onyenaturuchi Stephen from Federal University Otuoke with 496 votes respectively.

The Brand’s main objective for this year’s edition was to host a free and fair contest.
To ensure the fairness of the contest strict rules against cheating with VPN or bots and other means was established and made known to the participants.

In line with the policies and rules of the contest, votes from Contestant 10: Miss Briggs Boma Blessing from Kwara State University and Contestant 2: Miss Ereretevwe Fejiro Favour from Federal University Otuoke were cancelled in the course of the contest over the use of VPN and bots to falsify votes.

The Winner of Face of More 9ja 2019 has earned herself a year ambassador deal with More 9ja alongside with other exclusive benefits and opportunities.

Consolation Prizes were also provided to the top three Runner Ups.

To improve future editions, a room for feedback/Suggestion was set in place, most of the Contestants who provided Feedback was very pleased with the contest organization and was glad to have participated.

Members of the general Public who also provided Feedback praised the contribution of the brand in Youth Capacity Building while others urged the brand to improve on the voting system to make future editions better while still maintaining the fairness of the contest.
