Event News: Nigeria Campus & Youth Awards 2022 Grand Finale Recap & Full List of Winners

Glamour, style & merriment filled the air at the prestigious Nigeria Campus & Youth Awards 2022 grand finale event. The fifth edition of the awards held on the 3rd of September 2022 was hosted in the beautiful city of Abeokuta.

The main event was kickstarted by opening remarks and a welcome speech by Daniel Segboru, the Executive Director of More 9ja Media. He also briefed the youthful audience on the essence of the rebranding of the awards formerly known as Nigeria Campus Awards, in his words:

“As an impact driven brand with vision and track record of rewarding Nigeria’s teeming youths for the past five years, it became paramount for us to start the process of being not just a campus based award brand but also to target youths across the federation. Hence, the advent of Nigeria Campus & Youth Awards…”

A significant event highlight was the keynote speech delivered by the Founder of Nigeria Campus & Youth Awards, Muftau Olayemi who was heartily welcomed with a standing ovation by guests and nominees.

This year’s edition was themed Nation Builders which was the focus of the founder’s keynote speech.
Excerpts from his speech:

“Earth great treasure lies in human personality. Our greatest talent and treasure is our ability to love, and in this enterprise the champion is the greatest risk taker, which means the one most willing to invest himself where the odds appear most against him…”

He concluded his speech with a quote-worthy statement: “Human personality has power to uplift, power to depress, power to curse, power to faith & power to bless.”

Other spotlights of the award event include musical and comic performances, red-carpet interview sessions and lots more. It also featured the announcement of award winners and the presentation of certificates and medals to outstanding nominees and participants.
